The centre is situated on the Ptuj field (Ptujsko polje) near Ptuj, the oldest town in Slovenia, the town of castles and knights. The centre is an excellent starting point for ecologists, ornithologists, astronomers, ethnologists and archaeologists. On foot or by bikes we visit a typical panonic house in Gorišnica, the baroque Dornava manor house or the Ptuj lake where we can make a canoe trip or watch various birds that nest around there. In the “kurent” workshop we put on a typical “kurent” Carnival costume and make a “kurent” mask.
